After seeing a feature in Daily Planet, some looking around the internet, and finding out a friend of mine is already into it, I have decided to get into the hobby of R/C naval combat, which basically consists of 1/144 scale model ships with 1/32" balsa wood hulls shooting BBs at each other until they sink. So far I have the basic shape of the frame designed for my ship, but I have a long way to go until I'm blasting my foes out of the water.
When complete, my vessel will be 2 metres (6' 8") bow to stern, and 20 centimetres (8") keel to deck.
08/08/09 Update: The current design may have to be modified, and the current design could ride waves rather than cut through them, resulting in decreased stability. In addition, the design may be entirely abandoned for that of an existing real world warship.
